Hello.

This is Penny.

Penny has accompanied me through my journey to become a software engineer. She received an honorary BS in engineering from Barkmouth College, a highly prestigious dog university.

Penny now works full-time giving lectures in Treat Theory at the University of Chowcago.

Object-Oriented Programming

As software engineers, we develop a strong proficiency in the Object-Oriented Programming paradigm, which is fundamental to our field of study. Our tendency towards OOP stems from its intuitive approach to organizing code into modular, reusable components that model real-world entities. This paradigm allows us to break down complex problems into manageable objects with defined behaviors and attributes.

Languages like Java, C++, and Python serve to put into practice that understanding of key OOP concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism, enabling us to write more efficient, maintainable, and robust code.

While my personal background is largely in Java, any software engineer knows that these concepts are by no means isolated to one particular language, and as such should be able to apply their understanding of this paradigm to many languages.

Bash Scripting

Despite mostly using Windows day-to-day, I do prefer Linux, mainly because I like scripting in the Unix/Linux environment as opposed to the Windows environment.

Check out my tutorial video below of a simple script I made some time back.
